sunshield.... October 30, 2008 Driver (Massachusetts) I prefer the Glare Shield to wraparound sun goggles because it can be used and removed quickly and safely while driving. It is conveniently stored when not in use.
Garbage October 22, 2008 A. Dawson This product is gargabe. Way too expensive for a piece of junky plastic (which scratches easily) and is really just a piece of poop.
Clip problems September 22, 2008 jasy Problem with clip. Snapped when I tried to use the visor. Attaching it now by a rubber band.
Great For Reducing Glare August 1, 2008 John P. Ciastkewicz (Port St. Lucie, FL USA) In the past I had purchased this product for my Mother who has Macular Degeneration. An additional problem is that she is short (5'1"). This product does two things. First, if you tilt it down to look just below it, it greatly reduces the glare from the background sky. Second, it effectivly extends the visor lower for shorter drivers. One thing to remember is that it is made of plastic and is subject to scratches. We also found that 12 months of exposure to the sun made one of the clips brittle and it cracked at the hinge. Even with this she wouldn't hear of me not replacing it in her car. I would suggest using it when you need it, but putting it away when not needed to extend it's life. All in all, a good product for under $15. I even keep one in my SUV for when she is a passenger!
Beating Sun's glare in Seattle July 12, 2008 M. Barash (Seattle, Washington, USA) Sun Zapper Innovative Glare Shield was a big hit with my husband last year so I got two for my grown sons this year. Even in Seattle we need help from the sun's glare sometimes and we all love this helpful little devise. It doesn't interfere with the operation of the car or detract from normal vision in any way. Just sits up there behind the visor - ready to be pulled into action as you come up a hill into the occasional glare!! msb
