Super January 8, 2009 J. Sprague (Mancelona, Mi USA) My husband wanted this for Christmas. I am so glad I bought it for him. We had to move a 52 in TV up the stairs. We moved it with no problem at all. I have a bad back and I didn't have any problem moving it with this. My husband was moving a friend out and his son and him used it to move the furniture. They said it works great. Glad I didn't buy the cheap one.
Worked like a charm! December 16, 2008 J. M. Partin (Virginia, USA) This product was wonderful. It does need some padding on the shoulders but it did it's job. We moved an entire house of furniture and it really saved our backs!
Awesome, especially if you have limited upper body strength! December 15, 2008 tandy w wilson (acworth, ga United States) Being a 60 year old woman, who always had limited upper body strength, short arms and back problems; this is too good to be true! I could not believe how easily I helped carry a sofa bed upstairs, something I could never have done at any age! I helped carry a wiggly mattress with ease. Go to shoulderdolly.com and watch the video, especially the very important info about how to navigate going up and down stairs. It works great when you follow the instructions EXACTLY. Using your arms correctly (pushing against the item), lifting with your legs , getting the strap positioned correctly and lifting high enough are the essentials in a successful move. Before lifting don't forget to tie up the extra strap length. O.K. guys, I know you don't like to read directions; but, it will be a breeze if you at least watch the short video. Like others stated, it can be a little rough on the neck. Wearing something with the collar up helps. I found some snap on protectors that my mom used to keep the seat belt from rubbing her neck and I am going to try these next time. Also, being a small frame person with very small shoulders, it tends to slip down some in the front on me. That makes it extremely important to make sure the strap is pulled tight enough for a correct height lift. I saw they had a heavy duty version for professional that is padded; however, at almost $300, I'll take this bargain and wear a shirt. 5 stars for lifting, 4 stars for the neck
Shoulder Dolly LD1000 December 12, 2008 Michael Mancusi The shoulder dolly is fantastic. I purchased it to move A/C condensers from a three story building to the back yard. I already have many more uses for it.
You got to have it around. December 4, 2008 H. Wang (San Jose, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this Shoulder Dolly LD1000 one year ago but never ran into chance that need to use it....till last week. Late last month, I got a new HDTV from black Friday sales to replace my 13 years old 37" console TV. But we had hard time to move the old heavy CRT TV from living room to garage. My wife does not have strong arm to work with me to move the TV. Suddenly, I remember I had bought something for lifting heavy stuff like this. Bingo....it is easy to set up the Shoulder Dolly. And my wife and I can easily lift up the heavy TV and move it from living room to garage. I am happy to have this wonderful dolly around for situation like this. And My wife is surprised that this small thing can lift up such a heavy stuff. Get one for yourself. One day, you will have a chance to use it.
