crib liner November 15, 2008 proud mama (Arlington, Vermont United States) We used this product for both our sons. One is two and a half and the other is almost one and is still using it. It worked well becasue the boys were keept safe: their arms inside and their airway clear. The only reason I did not give it five stars are the end (shorter) sides don't stay up as well as the long sides. The short sides don't go up and over the top keeping them in place. This is why we didn't purchase a traditional bumper made out of mesh. When the boys were infants we used all four but as they started to pull the short sides down we just took those off and only used the long sides. That still was as effective.
Satisfactory Product October 22, 2008 A. Petersen (NE, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After continuously removing my daughter's legs from between the crib slats and finding pressure marks on her legs, I was ready for something to stop this! I found this product. I knew it would have to go over the sides because she kicks her legs up so high. This liner works really well. I like that it extends beneath the crib mattress. However, our crib has a raised back (higher than the drop side). The panel did not fit over the back. I bought some velcro, and hand-sewed on a few more inches to the attachment points. It took about 15 minutes, and now it works perfectly. I am so glad I no longer have a stuck and screaming baby!
Very soft and breathable. August 29, 2008 The Mrs. (California) The mesh material is much softer and silkier than I had imagined it to be. Highly recommended, will keep arms and legs from getting trapped in between the bars.
Keeps little arms and legs in July 29, 2008 Debbie Holm Overall, the CribShield is a good purchase. It does what I need it to do, which is to keep my toddler's legs in the crib. Before, he'd stick a leg out between the crib rail and get stuck just above the knee, so I didn't want him in the crib anymore until I found a solution. The CribShield is that solution! It was easy to attach to the crib; only complaint is that the piece that goes on the drop-down side isn't tall enough, but at least it stays up and is way better than nothing at all.
Breathable crib shield June 22, 2008 mama 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This product gets two stars from me for two reasons 1) my son likes to sleep up against the squishy side (more comfortable than having his head pressed against the crib rails), and 2) the satin that goes up over the side lengths is nice. However, I don't like 1) each of the 4 panels are much shorter than the sides of the crib, 2) the short panels are strange and the velcro is in locations that just don't work, and 3) because it is 4 separate panels there is no coverage in the corners and there are gaps the perfect size for baby legs and arms to get stuck. I will have to install new velcro on the short ends to anchor those pieces in place. I think that it is overpriced for the quality and design of the product. The idea is great. However, I wish the there were better pictures of this product online and that there were more products like this available.
