I know some Big Words.
I'll teach them to you.
Although you are small,
you can use Big Words too.

Big Words aren't scary.
They're big fun to learn.
I was taught once
and now it's your turn.

The eighth hilarious picture book by the #1 New York Times bestselling team of Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell helps little people communicate in a big person's world. With grown-up words like cooperate, respect, patience and considerate, a big, boisterous and zany family celebrates the power of language and discovers that words?big or little?are the bridge that connects us all.

5 out of 5 stars great book for kids!   November 11, 2008
P. Johnson (Tacoma, WA USA)
I saw recommendations for this book in a couple of places before reviewing the book for myself. It is well written and illustrated and would be appealing to young kids in early elementary school. It is written in a humorous way that introduces children to important words and concepts that they need to know to get along with others.

5 out of 5 stars Educational, fun and a good message   November 5, 2008
Deborah Bankson
Books for this age group have to entertain and look good or they will not get opened more the once. I need books my older children won't mind reading with the littlest one. This fits the bill. Clever, catching rhymes explaining the meaning of words, wonderful illustrations.

Everyone I gave the book to loved it, thought it would be a great teaching tool.

3 out of 5 stars It is good but not worth the price   October 31, 2008

It is good. It is a bit too difficult for young kids. And I think it is very over-priced.

5 out of 5 stars Big Words for Little People.   October 30, 2008

Big Words for Little People
Absolutely loved this book! It is a present for my grandsons. It simply shares the importance of courtesy and respect and integrity to little children in a way they can understand. Jaime Lee Curtis is a wonderful author. I have many of her other works as well.
