| Customer Reviews: Works as well as more expensive ones February 19, 2008 Holland C. St John 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have a bunch of kids and have used several different brands and models, including lots of Motorola units costing much more. We are ending a ski trip, and used these along with our other units. Worked as well as others. None of these walkie takies get anywhere near the range claimed, and these are no different. Main points: reception is clear, not too difficult to figure out the options, run all day on a charge. Recharge is slow (8 hrs) and no "full charge" indicator on the charger. The transmit button is a little small for use with ski gloves, but not too difficult. Main thing I don't like is the "lock" button is just below the transmit button, making it easy to accidentally unlock the menus, which can lead the kids to accidentally changing the channel. Of course you then can't communicate.
Great for the neighborhood September 25, 2007 Blond-Amazon (Nashville, TN USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these so I could keep up with my boys around the neighborhood. Very clear reception. We haven't used them over one mile away from each other. The shipping was not so fast.
