Product Description Amplifiers today need to be multi-faceted to keep up with the task at hand. Versatility is the foundation upon which the Dayton Audio APA150 is based. Configured in stereo mode, amplification is provided to a pair of speakers for stereo or surround playback. Select bridge-mono mode and the APA150 is configured for powering a center channel speaker, or a subwoofer/tactile transducer when used with the on-board low pass filter. Full-range line-level outputs allow for daisy chaining amplifiers for a multi-room whole house audio system or for bi-amp applications. A smaller chassis consumes less space than conventional amplifiers making placement options virtually endless. Key features of the APA150 are high current, discrete power transistors (used in premium amp designs), a hefty toroidal power supply transformer, low-noise forced air cooling, a fully adjustableand defeatableelectronic 50-150 Hz low-pass filter (18 dB/octave), and complete protection against electrical shorting and thermal overload. Also included is auto-on/off, silent turn-off with no audible transient, gold plated RCA inputs/outputs, and 5-way binding posts. Features and Specifications: *Measured power output: 2 x 75 watts RMS (into 4 ohms @ less than 0.01% THD) *Signal-to-noise ratio: greater than 100 dB *Class A/B design topology *Input impedance: 47k ohms *Auto-on sensitivity: 3 mV *Voltage requirement: 120/230 VAC, 60/50 Hz *Dimensions: 5-1/2" H x 6" W x 11-1/2" D.

Freaking awesome! November 18, 2008 allstar720 (Youngstown, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Hey, this thing is freaking awesome! I'll leave a better review this weekend when I have time. I got burned by 2 crappy sets of M-Audio 2.0 powered speakers and decided to go with passive speakers and an amp. I'm in grad school and spend a butt-load of time stuck in front of my computer so the sounds have to be right (if you know what I mean). It sits nicely on top of my tower and I matched it with small(ish) Sony SS-B1000 5 1/8" Bookshelf Speakers. The sound is nice but I'll be replacing them with larger speakers in a little while because I went way too conservative with my speaker choice. I'll add some pictures later but here are the positives so far. Small form factor Powerful Auto-Off Quiet operation Quiet cooling No hum! Thank gosh for this amp! Buy with confidence.
Excellent November 12, 2008 Angel Ramirez 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am very happy with this little amplifier. 1- No noticeable fan noise. 2- Plenty of power for home use. 3- Clear detailed sound. 4- Very quiet, no hum or buzz. 5- No power surge on turn on. 6- Good control over large drivers, very thight bass. 7- Very compact and versatile. 8- Fit and finish are very good. A little jem.
Does what it does really well October 29, 2007 Tick 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this to replace my components in my living room. I've hooked up a PC to this amp which in turn drives a couple of BOSE bookshelf speakers. Nothing fancy but I didn't want to use computer speakers in my living room. I have been using this for a few days now and I must say I'm very impressed. I can now fill my entire house with music that sounds just as good as a CD (almost) from a PC playinh WMAs. And this amp fits neatly into a CPU cabinet. And its black.
