Plays CD-Rs with no problem November 5, 2008 Jean R. (Key West FL) This is a very nice digital CD player for the price and it will play copies of original CDs, i.e. CD-Rs made on your computer. I purchased this unit because my DVD player which is suppose to play CDs, CD-Rs and MP3s does not do a very good job on my copies of my original CDs. The DVD player seems to hang alot on copies. So I was looking for a CD changer that would play all types of CDs, whether copied or original and MP3's. This unit plays all my copied CDs with out any flaws, hangs or skips. It also has two types of digital outputs, one coaxial and one optical. Since I was hooking this unit up to my digital amp, I wanted a digital output. You can't beat this unit for the price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a digital CD changer.
teac cd player November 4, 2008 hipshakething (Hemet, Ca.) This cd player is a bargain for all the fetures it has and it works very good so far in the short time i've had it. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a name brand cd player at a lower price with excellent sound and features.
Sharp 5-CD Carousel Changer October 4, 2008 Ebenezer (Bainbridge, NY USA) I bought this unit after searching for weeks for a multi-CD player with decent sound and its own speakers. The surround sound is very nice but the thump-thump from the extra bass speaker is too much for the type of music I play, so I turn it off. I also turned off the flashing lights. I don't have any MP3's (whatever they are) and I already have a very good tape player. There are several unused (not needed) features but the CD's sound really good and I can hear them all the way to the kitchen. This unit serves my limited purposes very well. I like the size too.
Not good October 3, 2008 Mark Twain (WY, USA) This may be a good player but I'll never know. I plugged it in and pushed the button to open it. The carousel opened about 1 inch and that was it. I returned it. (Great return policy by Amazon!) I'll not take a chance on ordering another. If this broke immediately, how long would it last?
disappointed October 1, 2008 Nell Barnard Teac 5 CD Carousel changer with MP3 playback The product was advertised as new and it probably was but it didn't perform as such. It WILL NOT play the #1 disc no matter what I try and the carousel moves very slowly. The shuffle mode doesn't work as I think it is supposed to do. The sound is good, however.
