Great tool for the money November 23, 2008 Eugene F. Clifford (Chicago, IL USA) Great tool for the money. Obviously a pro rock hanger wouldn't use it. But it does what it's supposed to. Very easy to use. I highly recommend this for the home owner. The assembly instructions suck. The box it came in was all tore up. But the tool is great.
Fantastic Machine October 21, 2008 Robert Logue (Philadelphia) This makes hanging drywall a breeze. I bought this because I was hangdrywall myself. It worked fantastic. If I had one conit would be the break it doesn't hold as well as it should.
Solid Product October 15, 2008 Greg D. Donovan (Grantsville, Utah) I could have rented one for 8 days at the price I paid for this one. I am doing a basement by myself and needed it for more than 8 days to do 1600 square feet of ceilings. It worked well with a few minor adjustments and some WD-40 to get out the squeaks. The construction is a bit crude but very solid. It weighs about 98 lbs and costs almost 100 dollars to ship but at the 74 dollar price it was worth it. Cool thing is that I can sell it for 100 bucks after I am finished and recover some of the cost. Shipping was fast and product was in good shape when it arrived.
Well worth the money October 14, 2008 D. Malley (Montana) Works great! Pros: does everything a drywall lift should do. It appears they have the box thing figured out... mine came in a double boxed carton. Cons: The handle on the lifting mechanism uses a lock nut and if/when that nut backs off it catches the lifting wire. Minor I know but it took me awhile to figure out why the lift would not go up LOL. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat!
Happy in NC October 9, 2008 E. Meares (North Carolina) This wallboard lift is really amazing. It is built strong. I hung 4'x 12' sheetrock with this lift and it was so easy. Don't let the low price fool you.It is well worth a lot more.
