Don't waste your Money October 18, 2008 J. J. Bacon (USA) This product is not worth the plastic it is made of. It doesn't have the power to shread, stops shreading too fast, gets clogged very easily, and has to be put into reverse everytime you use it to clean prior to shreading. Same you money, don't buy this product.
Can you give zero stars? May 30, 2008 H. Bireline Everything in the previous reviews are accurate. This product is terrible. I spend more time trying to clear the jams than shredding. DO NOT BUY THIS!
Beware Plastic Gears! March 31, 2008 Wanderer (Hortonville, WI United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Fellowes uses plastic gears in some of their shredders such as the P400C-2. These will wear out (all the teeth broke off on mine) and they do not support replacement parts after 5 years.
The same old grind -- doesn't quit February 15, 2008 Joe Shopper (Bowie, MD) This shredder worked as expected for a few months and I maintained it as the user guide instructs. It has always chewed up 6 sheets without difficulty. But now, even with just one sheet, the shredder does not turn off automatically.
Perfect junk December 29, 2007 gjportland (Portland, OR USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This shredder managed to make it thru the warranty period before a total crash. Even with light usage, the shredder struggled -- but when it broke, you could see why -- this is garbage. The cutting blades are housed in a lightweight plastic housing that obvioiusly couldn't handle any load for more than a few months use.
