No good! August 14, 2008 Deborah L. Hellquist (Minneapolis, MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thought this was a good idea. A friend of mine has a talking caller id and it would eliminate getting up everytime the phone rings. We tried our announcer on several of the phones in our house and it did not work at all! I am very disappointed.

My Mom has trouble reading even the large type Caller ID I got her. This helps. The voice is not very natural but it is better than nothing.

Needs more power and clarity January 13, 2008 M. Dewberry (Texas) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product is useful, but the voice is not loud enough and the pronounciation in unclear. It is somewhat helpful, but it could be greatly improved. I am not really happy or stisfied with the product.
Cute idea; poor execution October 11, 2007 kc (stamford, ct USA) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I thought this would be a good idea for hearing who's calling from across the room. It basically doesn't work for a bunch of reasons: The software does not do a very good job of interpretting names; even when it does the voice is hard to understand; when a number comes in without a name (or as "wireless caller" or "out of area" for instance), it will say "out of area" instead of reverting to announcing the underlying number, which you'd see on a text caller ID; it takes a couple rings before it starts to announce; etc. Overall, it's been completely useless.
