Not for fall cleanup.... December 3, 2008 John Ragone (NJ) Will do the job of cleaning up after a day of cutting the lawn.Works best on smooth artificial surfaces like walkways, driveways, and garage floors. Will NOT help much with fall cleanup particularly on grass surfaces as it quickly loses power and is underpowered for this kind of work.
Works for me December 1, 2008 Kathleen Cantu (Central Texas) For my purposes the blower is adequate. It is lightweight and easy to use. It may not be as powerful as others would need. I chose it because I have other B&D 18v tools so I have several batteries I can use for continuous use. One battery doesn't last long enough for one job.
Fantastic! November 18, 2008 Kathy Crowder (Walnut Grove, CA) I have a lot of leaves every fall and needed something other than a gas blower. They are just too heavy for me nowadays. So I bought the Cordless Electric Broom from Black and Decker. What a great job it does even if they are wet on the driveway. I am really happy with it. I also just bought another one for my 84 year old neighbor as his gas blower was just too heavy for him too. I would very much recommend it to anyone who has leaves!
Not bad, but battery life is pretty short November 13, 2008 J. Preston (Alexandria, VA USA) I really wanted to like this thing, and I do, except that its batteries don't last all that long. It's very possible it's more a charger problem, because there isn't a good indicator of whether the battery that's on there is completely charged. There's a red light, but I don't know if that means the battery is charged, or just charging. The sweeper does a good job, especially on hard surfaces (duh...maybe that's why they call it that), but does pretty well on grass when blowing leaves. My only gripe is about battery life...blows pretty good for about 15 minutes, then gradually weakens. They do include two batteries, so one can be charging while the other's in use, but it takes several hours to fully charge one, and (in my case) only 30 minutes to deplete two of them. Haven't found a better system, but wish this one was a little better. I guess I'd still recommend it, but only after warning you of the battery issues.
straight talk November 11, 2008 yard dodger (usa) This is my second Black and Decker battery operated blower I have purchased for my wife. I buy her any yard tool she wants because it makes my life simpler. Seriously, the first blower lasted, while used frequently, a long time. As run time decreased due to wear I got her the new one as I had to start up the gas one when her batteries went dead. It's perfect for quickly blowing off the patio, driveway, and even the garage floor when leaves or pine needles invade. I recommend this product to anyone who perfers quality at a moderate price. I forgot to mention that it is so simple to operate that my 4 year old grandson plays around at cleaning too.
