Product Description As cat lovers and experienced cat owners ourselves, we know that the condition of your cat's skin and fur is frequently a reflection of overall health. Poor skin health can sometimes be traced to dietary insufficiencies or imbalances. Problems with the skin and fur are never just cosmetic. Symptoms such as hair loss, thinning fur, dullness, dry flaky skin, excessive scratching, thickened skin, infections, and odors can often be traced back to either a shortage or an excess of a specific nutrient. In fact, there is no more visible indicator of problems with your cat's overall health than problems with the skin and fur. The right nutrients in the right proportions are indispensable to keeping your cat healthy.

Avoderm Is A Hit April 3, 2008 Jerimi Paul (Boise) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We recently stocked a new kind of cat food formulated especially for healthy skin and coat. We brought one can home to try out on our three-cat focus group. First impression by the human is that it's really a disgusting looking food. Lumps of seafood and peeled whole shrimp, in a "fragrant" gravy. It is, however, highly palatable to kitty kind. The fragrance is an added bonus for older cats since they often start to lose their sense of smell after a certain age. So a strong smell makes the food extremely appealing. We split the can amongst our three cats, and the vote was unanimous. All three ate the entire treat bowl, not just the gravy, but the meat as well. So while it's not exactly appetizing to humans, cats really love it. Ingredients: Sardine, Fish Broth, Shrimp, Crab Meat, Sunflower Oil, Salt, Guar Gum, Carrageenan, Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Methionine, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Iron Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Manganese Sulfate, Vitamin B1 Supplement, Vitamin B2 Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid.
Best wet food ever! January 8, 2008 T. L. Youngblood (Boise, ID United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My finicky cats will not eat most wet foods. They usually lick the gravy off and leave the rest, so I find myself throwing away all the nutritional content. A friend recommended this food and my cats went berzerk! They each ate the entire can, down to the last morsel. The food is not at all attractive to humans, it resembles chunky slime and smells like fish, but it certainly is attractive to the cats. The 3 oz cans are perfect portions, so nothing needs to be refridgerated after serving. This food is not nutritionally complete, so be sure to also have dry food available.
